Wood-ridge, NJ – On October 3rd, Academia Furniture Industries was honored to host Assemblyman and Deputy Speaker Gary S. Schaer (D). As New Jersey’s only school furniture manufacturer, Academia was able to offer Assemblyman Schaer unique insights into how well designed furniture can impact education. While touring the facility, Assemblyman Schaer saw Academia’s innovative manufacturing, from start to finished product. Assemblyman Schaer said, “I am proud that school furniture manufactured in my district will play a part in the learning and development of countless children”.
The Assemblyman took the opportunity to meet with the CEO, as well as, the local technicians who create Academia’s furniture. Our technicians explained to Assemblyman Schaer that Academia's products meet strict environmental standards, provide essential durability, and contribute to creating a safe classroom. Assemblyman Schaer said, “We all share a commitment to providing a quality education for our students, using the gifts we have to make that a reality. It is a community effort”.
